J & J Plumbing is equipped with one of the most valuable tools in the plumbing industry. State of the art fiber optic cameras allow for a visual inspection of sewer lines and other piping. Video images are transmitted to the camera operator and can be saved on CD for permanent record. Video inspections can pinpoint the exact location of a problem, which allows for better evaluation of the situation. Trouble spots can be cleared, often with cost savings over sewer pipe replacement.
When a drain is blocked, immediate diagnosis with a sewer inspection is imperative. To find and identify a blockage J&J Plumbing & Drain professionals set up a video camera attached to a flexible cable. The cable is threaded through the drain system from inside the home. The homeowner can watch on a video screen as the camera is threaded through the drain.
Blockages in a drain or sewer line can be the result of grease buildup, kitchen or bathroom debris, tree roots or other trapped items. Stoppages can also arise from camera identifiable problems, such as corroded, cracked and collapsed pipes, as well as age related erosion roots growing in the drain pipe.
The inspection can also identify damaged pipes or joints that have shifted over time, cracks or holes that are causing leaks, and locating sections of plumbing pipes that need to be replaced.
Preventative Maintenance – J&J Plumbing & Drain also recommends scheduling an annual maintenance visit so that our plumbers can
detect any potential problems before they become a large expense and headache.
a blend of bacteria and enzymes. The bacteria are natural, not genetically-engineered. The enzyme concentration is the most powerful on the market.
Bio-Clean is non-poisonous. It creates no heat, no fumes, no boiling. It does not attack live tissue nor inorganic materials, only organic wastes like grease, hair, food particles, paper, cotton & sewage. This makes BIO-CLEAN safe for people, plumbing and the environment. BIO-CLEAN changes the waste particles into water, carbon dioxide and mineral ash which run harmlessly out of your waste system. These elements are then available for plant life.
Within an hour after pouring the bacteria into the drain, the bacteria begin to eat their way into the waste that has accumulated on the sides and top of the drain pipe. This is their natural food. They digest the waste and spread throughout your system, cleaning it completely.

RootX is a non-systemic, patented chemical root control formula. It kills only the roots it comes in contact with and does not harm pipes, septic systems or the rest of the plant or tree outside of pipes. Annual RootX treatments keep your plumbing system root free and will help avoid costly sewer line and septic tank repairs.
RootX is applied by a our plumbing professional through an outside sewer cleanout or toilet. The two dry ingredients foam on contact with water to reach the top of the pipe where 90% of roots are found. The foam penetrates the roots and begins to kill them within the first hour after application. The RootX foam leaves behind a thin herbicide coating on pipe surfaces to prevent root regrowth for up to one year.
The active ingredient in RootX is Dichlobenil, a proven aquatic herbicide. RootX is non-caustic, non-fumigating and contains no diquat dibromide, copper sulfate or metam sodium, which are harmful to the environment. RootX has been accepted by the EPA for use in all 50 states and passed the EPA fish and wildlife test. It’s a safe and effective solution to pipeline root intrusion.
